Father, Greg, played baseball at Belmont University for two seasons (1985-86) after he transferred from Columbia State. Greg was a catcher and designated hitter who set school records for career batting average (.408) and single-season batting average (.451 in 1986). Greg was inducted into the Belmont Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.

Won the 2018 NCAA Norman (Okla.) Regional Championship and the 2018 Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational.

Was a 2017-18 Honorable Mention All-American.
