Enjoys fishing and skiing.

His father, Peter, played soccer at Fresno State; he worked as a painting contractor for 36 years before he passed away in November 2021 at the age of 61.

Younger brother, Kyle, spent three years on the men's golf team at California State University-Monterey Bay, an NCAA Division II program.

Played collegiately at Brigham Young University for four seasons (2016-20), winning 10 individual titles, including the 2017 West Coast Conference Championship. Posted sub-70 season scoring averages as a junior (69.79 in 2018-19) and senior (69.42 in 2019-20), with the latter being a school record.

Garnered an All-America First Team selection in 2020 and Second Team laurel in 2019, as well as 2019 West Coast Conference Golfer of the Year recognition.
