Brother, Charlie, blazed the Hillier trail to the University of Kansas, where they both played golf for the Jayhawks. The two brothers played together for two seasons (2018 and 2019).

Growing up, he and his brother excelled in soccer. Their grandfathers—on both sides—played in the English Premier League, one for Chelsea and one for Fulham.

Won two collegiate tournaments while at Kansas, the 2022 University of Iowa-hosted Hawkeye Invitational and the 2018 Jackrabbit.
