Fnatic icon Leo retires from VALORANT pro due to health issues

Fnaticโs Leo Jannesson has retired from VALORANT after more than four years in the scene. The Swedish star stepped away due to health issues that kept him off the active roster since June 2024.
Leo joined Fnatic in 2022 and became one of the top players in the game. He helped them claim international titles, winning the VCT LOCK//IN Sรฃo Paulo and Masters Tokyo in 2023. His clutch plays earned him MVP awards and cemented his spot as one of the best initiators in the game.
Leoโs lasting VALORANT legacy
In a heartfelt farewell post from Fnatic, in-game leader Jake โBoasterโ Howlett shared how he felt seeing Leo open up to them in the team. Colin โCoJoโ Johnson also noted how Leo was able to make an impact in an unusual role in the team.
The squad also praised Leo for his skills and for playing under pressure. His exit mightโve closed a chapter for Fnatic, but his legacy on stage lives on.
